Coriander, Coriandrum sativum is an annual herb in the family Apiaceae. Both the leaves and fruit (seeds) of coriander are used as food and medicine. However, the term “coriander” is typically used to refer to the fruit which is used as a traditional spice in cooking. Coriander Seed (fruit) is a globular, dry schizocarp 3–5 mm in diameter. The seeds have a lemony citrus flavor when crushed, due to terpenes linalool and pinene. Coriander is used both as whole dried seeds and in ground form. Roasting or heating the seeds in a dry pan heightens the flavor, aroma, and pungency. Coriander is commonly used spice in garam masala and Indian curries. Coriander Powder is obtained by grinding coriander seeds to desired granulation.

The Sadhana variety of Coriander is a medium duration variety. It is suitable for grains as well as leaf purposes because of its bushy nature. This variety is also resistant to aphids and performs well in moisture-retentive black soils. The yield of this variety is in the range of 1000 to 1100 kg per hectare.

 

SINDHU (CS-2)

The Sindhu is a medium duration variety with around 95-100 days duration. The grain of this variety is medium in size. The yield of this

variety is around 1050 kg/ha. The Sindhu variety of coriander is suitable for export activities.

 

SUDHA (LCC-128)

The Sudha variety of Coriander is a medium duration variety with a duration of 80-98 days. The grain of this variety is oblong shaped and medium in size. The yield potential of this variety is around 750-1200 kg/ha. The essential oil content of this variety is between 0.36% to 0.40 %.

 

SWATHI (CS-6)

The Swathi is a short duration variety with a duration of 80-85 days. This variety escapes powdery mildew. The yield of this variety is around 900 kg/ha. The Swathi variety is a good variety for export activities.

 

APHU DHANIA-1 (LCC-170)

The APHU Dhania-1 variety of Coriander seeds are a medium duration variety with 85-90 days duration. The grain of this variety is bold and oblong-shaped. The yield potential of this variety is around 850-1200 kg/ha. The essential oil content is about 0.40 %.

 

SUGUNA (LCC-236)

The Sugana variety of Coriander Seeds is a medium duration variety with a duration of 90-95 days. The grain of this variety is slender and oval-shaped. The yield potential of this variety is around 750-1350 kg/ha. This variety has a high volatile oil content of about 0.52 %.

 

SURUCHI (LCC-234)

The Suruchi is a high yielding leaf variety suitable for off-season production. It comes to harvesting in about 35 to 55 days after sowing. This variety of Coriander seeds give an average yield of around 15 – 18 t/ha of grain in rabi season and 2.5-4.5 t/ha greens in off-season under 50% shade net.

 

SUSTHIRA (LCC-219)

The Susthira is a high yielding medium duration variety of Coriander Seeds. It gives a stable yield under rainfed areas. The yield potential of this variety is around 12.0 to 14.3 quintals per hectare under rainfed conditions and 12.0 to 17.5 quintals under irrigated conditions.

Shelf life

Products are supplied with a minimum of 24 months to recommended shelf life (shown on product label) when stored sealed in original packaging under proper storage conditions. To maintain the product in best condition it is advisable to protect it from exposure to pests and extremes of moisture, light and temperature.

25 or 50 kg, PP Kraft Bags with heat sealed inner poly liner or  Jute Bags with HDPE/PP lining or as per customer requirements. Other options can be suggested.

 

Any other mandatory requirements will be complying to the respective regulations of the destination country.
