PRODUCT SPECIFICATION SHEET

Dextrins: [ C6 H10 O5)n ] are also known as pyrodextrins. By heat treatment of starch in presence of acid, dextrins are manufactured. Dextrins are graded on the basis of servity of heat and acid treatment. They are widely used due to its excellent adhesive and water solubility properties.

The yellow dextrin powder is manufactured using the latest techniques and quality control measures. The production process starts with the grinding of raw material, followed by homogenization and sieving in order to obtain uniform particle sizes.

As a binder for cores, yellow dextrin powder is widely used in the foundry industry. There are different types of dextrin powder available, including yellow dextrin powder, which is specially used in foundries to increase dry strength. The chemicals are produced by dry roasting in the presence of a catalyst. It is low viscosity, sticky, and hygroscopic in nature.

Yellow dextrin powder is widely used in the adhesive industry as a water-soluble adhesive and as a testifier. Adhesives are prepared with large quantities of yellow dextrin. Yellow dextrin powder is a fine, dry powder that ranges in colour from light yellow to dark yellow and dark brown. Yellow dextrin powder manufacturers in India.

Applications

  • The Adhesives Industries uses large amount of yellow dextrin in the preparation of liquid and dry adhesives. Dextrin goes in to the solution instantly and with a lesser quantity of water, because of their greater adhesive strength and fluidity.
  • It serves as an excellent binding agent for sand cores in foundry operations. It gives high green bond strength necessary for the mould to remain intact during handling.

Foundries:

Textile Industries:

As dextrin do not easily react with chemicals, they are specifically suitable for application in the textile field. In Textile printing, they are used as thickener. Free of grit and other impurities, which usually accompany lower grade of starch, they ensure that the copper rolls (used in printing) do not suffer from abrasion. In sizing, they are used with starch to increase adhesiveness. In finishing, they give desired feel to the fabrics.

Color Industries:

Dextrin is largely used in dry distemper. five to ten % of dextrin, mixed with chalk and pigment, acts as carrier and impact good adhesion of the color to the wall.
